I decided to create the scene of the white rabbits house for my final design. Overall I am happy with it and feel like I've created what I wanted to. I think a little more effort could of been made on perfecting the house.
I decided to develop the idea of making a scene come to life from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I practised on an old book and printed out images of the original illustrations. Altogether I created a random scene but I decided it would be best to think about taking one of the chapters in the book and bringing it to life.
These are some of the maquettes I made to help me decide on what idea I wanted to go with for my light design. The first image shows the idea I had for a skull surrounded by butterflies to contrast between human/animal and life/death. The second image is one that was inspired by Su Blackwell. I decided upon a love scene which would look nice in the light, to bring a sort of warm feeling when looking at it. The third image is one of my favourite maquettes. Creating a scene from one of my favourite books 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'
Su Blackwell is an artist most famous for her work with books, mainly fairy tale and old time classics. I personally really like Blackwell's work, she truly has talent within the way she works and I feel she has been a bit inspiration for me.
